| Hopewell’s Corporate Volunteer Team in New Year Visits Single Elderly | | | 23 Feb 2013
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) is committed to contributing towards a caring community. In particular, Hopewell strongly encourages its staff in volunteering with our NGO partners. In February, Hopewell’s corporate volunteer team joined the “Wan Chai Care for the Elderly Project 2013” in bringing gifts and warm New Year greetings to single elderly people, some of them in their 80s.
Hopewell’s voluntary members found the experience very rewarding, as in return for their gifts and wishes of good health they received sincere thanks and cheerful responses from the elderly. Throughout the visits, members learned about different walks of society and how to communicate better with older people.
The Project was organised by Wan Chai Methodist Centre for the Seniors, Wanchai District Elderly Community Centre of St. James’ Settlement, Eastern and Wan Chai District Social Welfare Office of Social Welfare Department and the Community Building Committee of Wan Chai District Council. |
