| Hopewell and Playright Jointly Organized Playday for Three Consecutive Years to Celebrate Chinese New Year | | | 26 Jan 2014
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) and Playright Children’s Play Association (“Playright”) jointly organized “Hopewell-Playright Chinese New Year Playday” at Panda Hotel on Sunday, 26 January 2014. The Playday had been held for three consecutive years. This year, we invited around 100 participants, including young patients aged between 1.5 and 17 years old with chronic illness and their families, to celebrate Chinese New Year. A series of play activities, performances and buffet were arranged under the sponsorship of Hopewell and venue and beverage sponsorship of its subsidiary, Kowloon Panda Hotel Limited.
Spread the festive joy and cheer
Around 70 HH Social Club volunteers comprising Hopewell staff, their families and friends and 11 Playright Hospital Play Youth Ambassadors (“Youth Ambassadors”) from the Hopewell sponsored programme - “Advance Play Actions of Hospital Play Youth Ambassadors” worked together to spread the festive joy to the young patients. Through carefully designed play zones and performances immersed in the theme of Chinese New Year, volunteers inspired young patients from Princess Margaret Hospital, Caritas Medical Centre and Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and their families to appreciate the value of play. This event is one of the programmes of “Bless Hong Kong” Campaign.
Sponsoring Hospital Play Development Project
Starting from 2011, Hopewell has been sponsoring the Playright’s 2-year Hospital Play Development Project, including the "Play Actions of Hospital Play Youth Ambassador Group" which helped the Youth Ambassadors to build confidence and learn to overcome obstacles through helping other child patients. |
