| Hopewell Organized Foodstep Journey for Staff | | | 11 Aug 2018
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) launched the Go Green Workplace campaign which aimed to promote environmental awareness of employees. The Group organized a tour in Foodstep Journey for our employees to introduce the issues of food waste and elderly poverty in Hong Kong through different exhibition areas including Virtual Reality Film and Interesting Facts on Food Smart.
Under the guidance of the elderly volunteers at the elderly center, the participants also handled the vegetables collected from food donors, which will be prepared for the meals of the elderly. Also, they made enzyme detergent for the elderly by collecting organic waste. |

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) launched the Go Green Workplace campaign which aimed to promote environmental awareness of employees. The Group organized a WEEE·PARK Tour for our employees and tenants to introduce the process of recycling and proper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, the importance of "turning waste into resources" and raise the environmental awareness of employees. |

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) joined WWF-Hong Kong’s “Gardening Activity at Island House, Tai Po. Citizen Science Project” at Island House Conservation Studies Centre to strengthen the engagement of staff on environmental protection.
24 participants studied cultural and natural heritage of Island House Conservation Studies Centre and enjoyed the fun of gardening. Through using ‘iNaturalist’ app, they learnt more about biodiversity and observed rare plant species. |
| Hopewell Supported Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2018 Again | | | 25 Mar 2018
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) continued to support the Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2018 held on Saturday, 25 March 2018 at Tai Tong, Yuen Long. This event organized by the Hong Kong Tree Planting Day Organizing Committee is the largest annual tree planting event in Hong Kong. It aims to promote green Hong Kong and raise public awareness on environmental protection, hill fire prevention and tree preservation.
37 HH Social Club volunteers comprising Hopewell staff, their families and friends, joined together with over 1,700 volunteers from various government departments, organizations and companies to take part in planting tree seedlings, planted around 8,000 tree seedlings of various species at the assigned tree planting area in Tai Tong to build a greener environment. |
| Hopewell Continued to Support WWF Earth Hour | | | 24 Mar 2018
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) support WWF Earth Hour in Hong Kong again by turning off exterior decorative lights of six major properties of the Group, including Hopewell Centre, QRE Plaza, GARDENEast, KITEC, Panda Hotel and Panda Place for an hour, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on 24th March 2018. Also, Hopewell Highway Infrastructure Company Limited’s joint venture companies, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Zhuhai Superhighway Company Limited and Guangdong Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Superhighway Company Limited switched off the lights at the staff dormitory buildings in Guangdong province during the period. |
