It aims to spread the message of “Act Green and Live Green” and encourage a green lifestyle. All donations received is allocated to support “Medical and Health Services” provided by the Chest's member agencies. |
| Hopewell Participated in “Night Safari” tour of WWF-Hong Kong | | | 10 Jun 2017
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) joined “Night Safari” tour at Mei Po guided by WWF-Hong Kong on 10 June to strengthen the engagement of the staff on the environmental protection.
19 participants took part in the night journey, watching the enchanting sunset and discovering some of Mai Po's nocturnal animals such as roosting birds, bats and fireflies at night to know more about the ecosystem. |
| Hopewell was Awarded Waste Check Charter Waster Check Promotional Partner Award – Class of Good | | | 26 May 2017
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) signed the Waste Check Charter organized by the Environmental Protection Department. Hopewell Centre, E-Max and Panda Place were received Waste Check Charter Waster Check Promotional Partner Award – Class of Good and Waster Check Commitment Award in recognition of the Group’s effort in holding waste reduction publicity and educational activities.
The 18-month Waste Check Charter was organized by the Environmental Protection Department with the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) serving as the executive agent. A total of 118 signatory organizations participated. Among them, 67 signatory organizations were received with the Waste Check Promotional Partner Awards. The signatory organizations regularly measured the quantity of waste sent for disposal and recyclables collected and formulated concrete plans to achieve their waste reduction goals. |

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) has been awarded Business for Sustainability logo by the Sustainability Management Research Centre at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of our significant progress in integrating sustainable practices across business operations.
“Business for Sustainability” represents the next level of achievement after “Caring Company”. We are accessed by VPI model – Values, Process and Impact on our sustainability vision and principles, management systems and practices, and impact on a range of stakeholder groups. |
| Hopewell Supported Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2017 | | | 01 Apr 2017
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) joined the Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2017 held on Saturday, 1 April 2017 at Lions Nature Education Centre, Sai Kung. This event organized by the Hong Kong Tree Planting Day Organizing Committee is the largest annual tree planting event in Hong Kong. It aims to promote green Hong Kong and raise public awareness on environmental protection, hill fire prevention and tree preservation.
28 HH Social Club volunteers including Hopewell staff, their families and friends, joined together with around 1,600 volunteers from various government departments, organizations and companies to take part in planting tree seedlings, planted around 6,000 tree seedlings of various species at the assigned tree planting area to build a greener environment. |
