Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme Organized virtual Farming Tour for Primary Students

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) collaborated with St. James’ Settlement for the fifth consecutive year in co-organizing “Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme” 2020/21. The Program provides diverse learning opportunities for underprivileged students during the epidemic.
 
Apart from the virtual STEM workshop, over 60 primary students and 11 volunteers participated the virtual farming tour in March and April. Through the virtual visit in HKFYG Organic Farm and New Life Interactive Farm, the participants learnt the knowledge of organic farming and environmental protection, strengthening their understanding of ecosystem.
 
We also provided the learning kits to the students to experience the fun of STEM and ecosystem, inspire their creativity and thinking, and promote whole-person development.

Hopewell Supported Skip Lunch Day Again

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) continued to support “Skip Lunch Day” organized by the Community Chest of Hong Kong to encourage the employees to donate their lunch fees to benefit the “Services for Street Sleepers, Residents in Cage Homes and Cubicles” supported by the Community Chest of Hong Kong. By making a donation of HK$35 or more, each donor will receive a Skip Lunch Day Coupon as a token of appreciation. Apart from the company’s donation, Hopewell also matched the staff donations dollar-for-dollar.

Hopewell Supported Breastfeeding Friendly Community Initiative Project

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported Breastfeeding Friendly Community Initiative Project (BFCI) – “Breastfeeding GPS”, organized by the School of Nursing, the University of Hong Kong. Three major properties of the Group, including Hopewell Centre, KITEC and Panda Place, also supported the project and completed the trainings for providing positive and welcoming attitude to customers, promulgating breastfeeding friendly attitudes.
 
Funded by Food and Health Bureau, the BFCI aims to provide management and staff training for public premises. The Project has developed a brand new baby care app that provides timely support and useful information on baby care facilities to mothers to sustain breastfeeding.

Hopewell and Eight Subsidiaries Awarded in the Caring Company Logo

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) and eight of its subsidiaries have been awarded the Caring Company Logo 2020/2021 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of our continuous commitment to the community, the employees and the environment.

Hopewell Supported Virtual Walk for Millions

This year, in view of the current situation of COVID-19, the Community Chest of Hong Kong has firstly launched a virtual walk to encourage people to maintain their physical and mental health, raising funds for the Chest.

As a long-term supporter of the Community Chest, Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported “Walk for Millions” again, organized by The Community Chest of Hong Kong from 31 January to 14 February. Each participant aims to achieve 10,000 steps in any format at anywhere, anytime without boundaries. After the event, the participant who achieves the task will receive an e-certificate.
