| 28 Mar 2026 The "Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2026", organized by "Green Fun" under the Concerted Effects Resource Centre, was successfully held on March 28 at Sai Kung Tsiu Hang. The event attracted nearly 2,000 participants who together planted 5,000 native tree seedlings, contributing to Hong Kong's greening efforts.
HH Social Club volunteer team took part in this meaningful activity. Although the team was small in number, the spirit of unity was strong, with members supporting one another throughout. Guided by staff from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, volunteers hiked and planted trees while learning about local plant species and experiencing the beauty of Hong Kong's natural ecology. Planting seedlings by hand allowed participants to play a direct role in protecting the environment.
The event was graced by several officiating guests and government officials, including Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-ki and Secretary-General of the Liaison Office Wang Songmiao. Together with representatives from various sectors, they planted seedlings to demonstrate society's collective commitment to promoting sustainable green development. | |
