Hongkong International Trade & Exhibition Centre ('HITEC') is located in the heart of Kowloon Bay. HITEC has a total gross floor area of approximately 163,700 sq. m. (1.76 million sq. ft.) comprising commercial and office space, event venues for any kind of business and banqueting functions, restaurants and cafeteria.

HITEC is undergoing a major revamp program, and will become an entertainment hotspot and destination shopping complex in Eastern Kowloon District - EMax. It will provide ideal locations for convention and exhibition, concerts, entertainment, dining and shopping all under one roof.

The upgrading works started in July 2006 and according to current plan, they will be completed by phases and the revamped complex is scheduled to open in the second half of 2007.
